From today, you'll never see your videos as before. Not only will they be played in a radically new player, but also, and it's our subject today, we've worked on the sizes of the player.

The player changes for 16/9

The by default size changes. Until now, we've used a 4:3 (320x240).

But, we've noticed that more and more each day, the 9:6 size is the one that you use the most on your sites. You upload an average of 3 times more 16:9 videos than 4:3.

From now, the player by default size changes for 16:9 (432x243)

Small, Medium and Large: the 3 sizes of the new player

There's also a change concerning the choice of the player size in the articles.

That's the end of complicated combinations that existed before. Remember, there were 7 possible sizes, 4 for 4:3 and 3 for 16:9.

Now, you'll choose among 3 sizes: Small, Medium and Large. Here's their characteristics:

S : small -432 x 243 => play in the page

M : medium -608 x 342 => play in the page

L : large -864 x 486 => play in an ibox

Note that the S, M, L choice is done aside of the video format. The player is optimizing automatically your video display, using its ratio. Thus, you can upload 4:3 as 16:9 as 5:3, cinemascope, original cinemascope, in brief, any format.

See you to see in details the new design and also the player customization options!
