You will say that where there's smoke, there's fire (new video player, unbelievable hosting capacities,...). So yes, some of you had guessed it, those novelties announced the HD in your favorite CMS!
Portal users (Xpert and Pro), you'll be enabled to propose videos in High Definition.
The superior quality of the videos in High Definition can't be denied. A simple look at this note illustration will convince anyone.
Here's how to obtain such a result:
1 -Activate the HD
Firstable, you must of course activate the HD encoding in your backoffice. This is to be done in MANAGEMENT > Settings > Video > Encoding
2 -Send a source video of good quality
This seems evident, but let's get into the details. The resolution of an HD video at WMaker is 1280x720 (720p). Thus, if your source video has an inferior size, it will not be encoded in HD.
If those 2 conditions are respected, the videos will be encoded in HD. You can even choose to receive a notification email, indicating that the encoding is finished.
For those videos, an "HD" button will display in the player, in the front office.
It enables to select the quality of the video to play.
