This note is the first of series introducing the V4 innovations.
Lesia created a video (Screamcast) giving detail on the new writing page in V4.

As you have noted an important ergonomics work was realised.
We thought for the first time the back office with the help of an ergonomist Fred Cavazza which edited a very interesting blog about this subject.

Here is the V4 innovations in the form "New article" :

• A photo can be enlarged by Ibox, (860px max)
• Paragraph moving by the Drag&Drop
• Automatic saving of your article
• Restriction of an article directly in the form
• Default settings of the new article :

                               - Font size in the form area
                               - 3 text editor (RTE, Dojo, BBCorde)
                               - New display format video

In the futur, other fonctions will be added in this page notably module integration in an article.

For 3 weeks you couldn't send newsletter during the rush hours, between 03:00 pm to 07:00 pm (locally). Since yesterday this restriction was lifted, we thank you for your understanding and specialy our transaltlantic clients.

We have just to send 8 new engines to the Datacenter of Courbevoie.There will be a break of 3 hours in the night from next Thursday tonext Friday.

You have just to ask it in your support interface, you will receive an invitation by mail which will allow you to access to your V4 backoffice.

The V3 stays for a few months the version in production of WMaker, the V4 will working in parrallel.

During this period we are wainting for your feedbacks in order to make a list of the residual bugs. We want to correct bugs and install the new hosting architecture the 1 May.

For 6 months we work on this version and we want to thank the developpers Carina, Gillian, Laurent, Lesia, Samir et Sebastien (N°2).

We also want to thank you for your confidence.

We are really sorry but until the installation of the servers (the bellow illustration), we are going to try to preserved the traffic during the rush hours. Thus we suspend the newsletter expedition between 03:00pm and 07:00 pm (Standard time) everyday. It will be released within 15 days.

The best hours are early morning, at the end of the moring toward 11:00 am or at the beginning of the afternoon before 02:00 pm. Usually one newsletter forwarded at 06:00pm is not really readed.

I introduce Damien and Jean Mathieu to you who carry out their training course of the end of the year at WM. They strengthen the V4 team, we appointed the official launching day of the Bétâ the 1st April ;-)

We thought of being able to launch at the beginning of March but we had some difficulties on the hosting, as the spammer attacks (Ukrainia) and I don't tell you the Turkish attacks which gave us much work during two weekends.

In fact we are much less reactive on the hosting and we miss Gillian's experience. We were obliged to reduce the V4 team to regulate some maintenance problems of hosting platform.

About the hosting, I will publish a note more comprehensive but quickly we have just to make some big investment in material and we are composing an hosting team. It will be operational within one month.

About the V4, we finished the functional aspect, now we will working on :

- The back office pages optimization,
- The dash-board creation,
- The integration of some functions which you wanted.

We will finish that by one week in Paris in our graphics studio for global revision.

For several months we wished to create a tool dedicated to maintenances like those of OVH, unfortunately we delayed the launching because of that we had not enought time.

So we have just to create a first level of information system from xFruits. It will be completed by a specific development which will automate the publication of synthetic information about the architecture.

The information will be published in a very shortened version :

The concept is to publish very quickly brut information, if possible upstream. I added a permanent link "Maintenance" bellow Search module. This link is both visible in a navigator and useful in customised page because it's a RSS feed.

Following the problem of the sending server (smtp) since the 20 february, yesterday we transfered all the mail boxes on 2 new servers. There were some disturbances on the mail accounts.
The transfer was finished at 21h50. No mail was lost, maybe there were some delayed mails and some double receptions.

A few months ago Apple shaked up its arborescence and it's Sonart which raises the alarm.

So we applied this modification on your Podcasts, from now new classes replace the old ones.

Take a turn in your Network menu to check that you are still well put in place.
