Front office search engine has been improved.

To do so, we focused on the search algorithm and the indexation of your content. We have redefined  all the way it works.

During this work, we took the opportunity to extend the areas crawled in order to create the data dictionnary.

In practice, this means that from now on, a search is carried out on the whole article: title, lead-in, all the paragraphs .... and also the tags!

It will be easier for your users to find the content they look for on your site ;) We hope it will satisfy them.

The next step is to extend the indexation to webservices such as the shop, the downloads section, the gallery ...

OpenID: Great announcement after WM intergration in its softs :) !!
Why such a humoristic title ?

Just to focus on today's annoucement : Google, Microsoft, IBM, Yahoo and VeriSign are joining the OpenID fondation.

For WMaker's customers, it implies that, from today, login into their websites will be easier for more than 350 millions OpenID account owners.

It should increase the comments related to your articles, the threads in your forums, the efficiency of your classified ads .... in a nutshell, the traffic related to your webpages.

While, because of us, you had the opportunity to sleep deeply, it was a very long night for Greg, Samir, Sébastien and Jérôme ... ;)

They installed our brand new file server, a fantastic Sun Fire X4500. The use of this new machine in our architecture will improve the access to your websites.

This maintenance operation was successful, even if some unexpected details lead our team to finish its job in the early morning.
A very long night

In order to increase the performance of your websites, we will perform a maintenance operation which implies to close all back offices during a few hours.

This maintenance operation will occur on thursday 24th  from 12:00 AM GMT+1 to 6:30 AM GMT +1.

Of course, your websites will remain openned, only their update will be impossible during our work on the servers.

We apologize for the inconvenience due to this necessary action.

V4 is launched !

Last month, we opened a beta access to WMaker Version 4. Today, this version becomes WMaker's official version.

V4 proposes the latest Web 2.0 technologies. The launch of this new version is also synonymous with the release of small and big new features, all along the year 2008, which, for us, actually begins today.

Since today, you access directly to a brand new back office. For those you want to accommodate slowly to this new interface, it is possible to revert to the old back office version. For a few months, you will find a link entitled "back to V3" in the top bar of V4 back office.

All the team worked hard to propose you a better workplace with this V4. We are quite exited to hear what you think about it. Do not hesitate to give us your feedback !

To whom Jérôme are you talking?
The WM team expanded!

Since the beginning of January we welcome a new "WMakerial": Jerome Granados.

Jerome will aim to introduce a bit more WMaker and to offer new products, made around your favorite CMS. His first mission, with the support of Lesia, is the redesign of the www.wmaker.net portal. The restructuring of the portal will provide an opportunity to make an area of expression for the user community of WMaker. Please let us know your suggestions for a name for this network.

Meanwhile, imagine the multitude of misunderstanding now that there are two Jerome.
Remember:"To whom Jérôme are you talking???"
