It's been a long wait but now ... time has come :)

For this new design we can say that we followed the style model "Azur theme" using the timeless subject Travels. Indeed, in this period of extreme cold we wanted to warm your heart, we hope it is successful :)

We know that those of you who have registered for the Beta Goodbarber V2 can't wait to try it out. But be aware that it's just as unbearable for the whole team because we really look forward to your first impressions!

Announced in our previous note, GoodBarber is almost ready to release its version 2. So what's best to announce and introduce it than participating in the essential annual meeting for companies and start-up of the web, Web '12.

For those who do not know this event, Web'12 is three days of conference, demonstrations and meetings with giants such as Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, Google, ect.
It's also where tomorrow's Internet is imagined. You understand that it is a very important event that we absolutely wanted to be part of.

We invite you to register to the private beta of our new Mobile product. This short "home made" video introduce the final product.

A private beta is a pre-production version available by invitation only. This product will be officially released in early March 2013.

Invitations are sent in batches of 100 people to increase gradually. We need your help to improve the product.

All server architecture is not yet fully completed. A battery of Mac Mini will be installed in the Data Center DC19.

The private beta is at the moment available only for iOS version. HTML5 and Android versions will arrive before we launch.

It will be free for all users of Xpert and Pro contract WMaker during this phase. This is to our knowledge the best system for creating Mobile Applications.

This new product provides the flexibility of the Web in terms of updates. While maintaining the fluidity of a Native Mobile Application.

Some of you are already using the version 1 of GoodBarber, coming from our team work with the company DuoApps. But since September, the company DuoApps specialized in Native application development  merged with WMaker.

This allowed us to put our strengths together and the result is really great! Actually we had an agreement in principle earlier this year, and our teams have been working together for few months now.

This new version of GoodBarber, V2, is very ambitious. It allows us to provide our standard CMS with the most effective mobile solution of the market.

These past few months working on this project opened new opportunities for development of Mobile for WMaker but not only ;) Most importantly, WMaker team is now richer in new talents!

End of September we offered you the share button Pinterest to pin your pictures on this new social network. This gave us some ideas and we decided to offer a similar display mode for the module "My posts".

This display mode, very visual, allows you to enhance your images and photos. It is not optimal for all kind of presentation of your information, but it gives you an additional choice.

The interest of the Pinterest mode is to manage your photos seamlessly whether in portrait or landscape. The number of columns is automatically calculated based on the container. With a width of 750 pixels for the central column, you will get a perfect display on 3 columns.

Sport is honored with this new theme, plain and simple you will highlight the results and news about your favorite team.

Since Saturday, we went through many very powerful Syn Flow attacks. We were able to contain the attacks until Sunday afternoon with short Down Time.

From 2:00 p.m. Sunday the attack was a lot more violent making, going up to 400 mb/s, it's huge!
WMaker & GoodBarber have not been available intermittently from the early afternoon into the evening.

During the attack, we set up several firewalls.
Changed configurations and rules .... 6 people worked yesterday on the attack.

We were in contact with OVH (our host) via our VIP advisor.
We have informed them throughout the day of our difficulties trying to sort things out.
Unfortunately our interlocutors had no solution either.

We set new firewalls with different hardware and software above our architecture.
Because of the violence of the attack (more than 1Gb/s) OHV disabled the iP which was being attacked on its routers.

So we were forced to change our DNS (Domain Name System that manage the address of your site).
The result is that approximately 10% of our sites are down (old DNS ) other sites are up with some slowdowns time due to the DNS propagation.

Right now, we are working hard to sort things out as soon as possible with OVH boss, Octave Klaba.

We all know those Sundays afternoon when the weather is a little sad, twhen the happy ending movie is on telley for the umpteenth time, at when we only want to escape, what better way than reading a good book?
