A good news never comes alone.
We were quite disappointed with the change of our engine database.
The new base is much more robust, but we expected better performances.
Actually, the gains were quite small, about 20%.

So during the summer we tried to optimize in every details the code of the CMS.
But the improvements only weakly influenced the results in production. Then we realized that our test architecture at the CampusPlex sometimes behaved very differently from the prod.

Your favorite CMS uses Open Graph.

If you do not know the
Open Graph protocol , remember that this is a collection of tags invented by Facebook to describe your pages. These tags can add "meaning" to your content. This makes the sharing in social networks more effective. These tags also help to improve your SEO.

You can display a new share button in the article page and in the module My Posts.

Just after the Google+ button in July, it's now time for the LinkedIn share button to be listed in the social network buttons list. By clicking on this buttion, your readers will republish your article in their LinkedIn stream.

The author page  is the page that lists all the articles you wrote on your site. For example, here's a link to my author page on WMaker's blog:

http://en.blog.wmaker.net/author/Jerome-Granados/

This page is structured as follows:
- Author's Name
- Photo associated with the Account ID followed by a customizable description
- Links to various profiles of the author in social networks
- List of articles written by the author on the site

This page is not activated by default, to activate it, edit the tab "
Informations about the website" from your profile page in the back office.
Did you activate your author page?

Switching to PostgreSQL from 8.00 PM (GMT 2)
We will change the database engine tonight. We take advantage of the summer holidays to make this manipulation on which we have been working on, for months.

While switching from MySQL to postgreSQL until late into the night, we will close all back offices for all sites. The front office of the websites will obviously be active for the duration of the transfer.

We have set up two teams to share the work in order to be as reactive as possible. Indeed, we expect many adjustments to be done all day tomorrow. The first team will be working tonight, the second one arrives at 6 am to carry on.

Beginning of the operations 08:00 pm (GMT +2), you can follow us on Twitter
